Moving Consciously
-
This class begins with a floor practice that calms the nervous system and prepares the student for alert action. We then move into standing exercises of upright balance and coordination. We end each class with a guided improvisation used to integrate the lesson.

Embodied Anatomy Classes
-
A study of the brilliant architecture that supports us in sitting, standing, and moving as biped creatures. Through images, touch and movement we look at the human skeleton and key muscle groups that inform efficient use of ourselves.

Domes of Resilience and Support
Diaphragms are dome-shaped horizontal structures within our anatomical architecture. They transfer energy and resilience through the core of our bodies. This class explores the way that thinking about these structures while moving gives us bounce and connection through ourselves.

The Ballet Barre From an Alexander Perspective
-
Ballet is often taught as a series of positions, its demanding precision leading to unnecessary tension through the body. Through an AT lens, we see each position as moments of dynamic opposition, infused with possibility for movement.
